Warranty
All Zostma orders are carefully quality checked before dispatch. However, from time to time there may be a rare defect. Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have goods repaired or replaced if they fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.
In addition to any rights you may have under the Australian Consumer Law, we warrant that all Zostma products purchased through zostma.com will be free from defects for a period of 12 months from the date of purchase.
A defect is any fault, error or deficiency in a product as a result of improper workmanship or materials. This includes things such as faulty clasps, stone settings coming loose, or structural issues with the piece that are present from the time of purchase and are not the result of wear, misuse or improper care.
For successful warranty claims we will, at our own cost, repair or replace the product — the decision of whether to repair or replace is at our sole discretion. If we are unable to repair or replace the product, we will offer you a choice of store credit, refund or compensation as applicable to the defective product.
The following is not covered under this warranty: loss of your product; chain breakage unless caused by improper workmanship or materials; reasonable wear and tear including tarnishing and fading over time; damage caused by contact with perfume, sunscreen, hairspray, chlorine, salt water, skin creams or acidic skin pH; items handled against our care instructions; accidental damage or misuse; acts or omissions by you or any third party not engaged by us, including third party repairers; failure to follow care instructions provided by us; continued use of a product after a defect becomes apparent; failure to notify us of a defect within a reasonable time; and damage or loss caused by events completely outside our control, including natural disasters, floods or fires.
All metals will tarnish over time, and tarnishing will occur faster when jewellery comes into contact with perfume, salty air, sulphur, skin creams, hairspray, chlorine or acidic skin pH. Tarnishing is considered normal wear and is not covered under this warranty.
This warranty is only valid and enforceable in Australia. If you are located outside of Australia and experience an issue with your product, please contact us to discuss available options on a case by case basis. This warranty is governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia.
To make a warranty claim, please email us at info@zostma.com within the warranty period with your order number, a description of the defect, and clear photographs of the issue. Our team will review your claim within 3 to 5 business days and advise on next steps. We may request that the product be returned to us for assessment before a remedy is provided. Return shipping for approved warranty claims will be covered by Zostma.
