About Zostma
Zostma is an Australian jewellery brand based in Melbourne, created to inspire confidence and elegance in everyday life. We believe fine jewellery shouldn't be reserved for special occasions alone — our pieces are designed to be worn daily, layered for celebrations, and cherished for years to come. Every design reflects a commitment to quality, craftsmanship, and timeless style, made with the Australian woman in mind.
We'd love to hear from you. You can reach our team through our Contact page, or email us directly at info@zostma.com. We aim to respond to all enquiries as quickly as possible and are always happy to help with sizing, orders, or any questions about your pieces.
Materials & Quality
At Zostma, every piece is crafted using premium materials selected for their quality and longevity:
18k Gold Vermeil — a genuine sterling silver base plated with a substantial layer of 18k gold, offering the rich, warm tone of fine gold jewellery with far greater durability than standard gold plating.
14k Gold Filled — a thick layer of 14k gold that is mechanically bonded to a base metal core, providing exceptional resistance to tarnishing and fading, even with regular wear.
925 Sterling Silver — 92.5% pure silver alloyed for strength, offering a bright, timeless finish.
Cubic Zirconia — a brilliant, clear stone prized for its exceptional sparkle and clarity.
Moissanite — a lab created stone celebrated for its fire and brilliance, often compared to diamond.
Each product page lists the exact materials used for that specific piece, so you always know exactly what you're wearing.
Gold vermeil is a genuine sterling silver base (925 silver) plated with a thick layer of gold — a minimum of 2.5 microns and 18k gold purity by industry standard. This substantial layer of gold is what sets vermeil apart from standard gold plating, offering a richer colour, a more substantial feel, and considerably greater durability over time.
All plated jewellery can tarnish over time, particularly with exposure to moisture, perfume, and cosmetic products — this is a natural characteristic of plated pieces, not a fault. With proper care, your jewellery will maintain its finish beautifully for much longer:
— Keep it dry — avoid showering, swimming, and hand washing while wearing it
— Apply perfume, lotion, and other cosmetics before putting your jewellery on
— Store each piece separately in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight
— Clean gently with a soft, dry polishing cloth

Product Care
Every Zostma piece is designed to be worn and loved for years to come. To help your jewellery last as long as possible, we recommend the following:
Moisture: Avoid contact with water, including showering, swimming, and hand washing, as this can cause plated jewellery to tarnish over time.
Cosmetics: Perfume, lotion, and other cosmetic products can affect the finish of gold-plated and sterling silver jewellery. Apply these before putting your jewellery on, not after.
Exercise: Remove jewellery before exercising — sweat and friction can wear down plating and delicate pieces may catch or break during activity.
Storage: Store each piece separately in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Avoid long-term storage in humid areas such as bathrooms, and keep pieces away from each other to prevent scratching.
Cleaning: Clean gently using a soft, dry polishing cloth. Avoid harsh chemicals, abrasive materials, or jewellery cleaning solutions not designed for plated pieces.
Plating: As with all plated jewellery, the outer layer will naturally wear over time with regular use — this is expected and not considered a fault.
For more detail, visit our Care & Cleaning page.
Store each piece separately in a soft pouch or lined jewellery box, away from direct sunlight and humidity, to prevent scratching and tarnishing.
Keep jewellery away from perfume, lotion, and water where possible, and put your pieces on last when getting ready. Storing them properly between wears also helps significantly.
Gently clean the piece with a soft cloth and mild soap and water, following our Care & Cleaning guide. If tarnishing persists, get in touch and we're happy to help.
We recommend removing your jewellery before swimming or showering. Chlorine, salt water, and prolonged moisture can affect the plating and shorten its lifespan.
It's best to remove jewellery before exercising. Sweat and friction can wear down plating over time, so taking it off helps your pieces last longer.
